The Jam Countdown Begins!

Only two days to go and Dundee’s first Global Service Jam event will kick off in DJCAD at 5pm! Please enter through the new glazed Perth Road entrance and follow the signs up to Level 5 of the Matthew Building where we will be waiting to greet you.

Please bring your favourite mug with you so that you can drink as much free beverages as you please. We will be providing a buffet on the Friday evening and a light breakfast of a pastry and tea/coffee/juice on both Saturday and Sunday morning. You may wish to bring your own lunch, dinner and snacks with you over the weekend, but there are also plenty of great places around DJCAD to get something to eat. Spice Indian restaurant have kindly offered a 20% discount, and Drouthy’s pub have offered a 10% discount on food – just show your Global Service Jam sticker which will be provided.

Although not compulsory or exhaustive, you may find the following useful to bring with you to the Jam:

  • Laptop or tablet computer
  • Smartphone/camera/camcorder
  • Marker pens/pencils
  • Note-pads/sketchbooks

The only requirements are energy and enthusiasm!

Please wear comfortable clothing. Although you may want to make a good impression when meeting potential collaborators for the first time the jam is intended as a fun event during which you will be working intensively and you will want to be as relaxed as possible.

We have a long waiting list for the Jam so if you can’t make it along please just let us know and we will refund your ticket.

We will be documenting the event through photographs and video so if you do not wish to feature please let us know at the beginning of the jam.

The Dundee Global Service Jam team look forward to meeting you all on Friday – see you then!
